Shoshana was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. After a Master’s degree in literature, she pioneered a multi-cultural communications program during apartheid in South Africa. Interest in intercultural group dynamics led to a Masters in psychology. An adjunct faculty member of John F. Kennedy University and Diablo Valley College, she gives workshops on mental health issues and creative writing. Shoshana is a psychotherapist and Reiki practioner, using Reiki for healing people and their pets. 

Her publications include a unique self-help journaling method – The Satisfied Soul GuideBook: Your Path to Transformation. Other books, fruit of personal and professional work on food and weight issues and addictions, are The Satisfied Soul: Transforming Your Food and Weight Worries, Love, Anger, Power – and Food! A GuideBook for Women, and Do No Harm: Transforming Addictions.  A collection of short stories: Roots and Wings: Growing Up in Apartheid South Africa is her latest book. 7 Steps to Positive Connection; Manifesting Your Satisfied Soul will soon be available.

Shoshana defines her spiritual and creative life as “Connection in many spheres of living.” For thirty-three years, she’s lived in Walnut Creek, Northern California. She is a dedicated Vipassana meditator, and enjoys lap swimming, choral singing, jazz piano improvisation, ceramic figure sculpture, and walking her apricot miniature poodle, Frankie. Shoshana takes pleasure in her five grandchildren.
